Awkward subject right? It shouldn’t be, and good news, it doesn’t have to be. The more we talk about our mental health, the easier it gets, and the better things are for everyone.

So many people with mental health conditions feel like they’re alone, or that they can’t talk about it. And yet each year one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. That’s… a lot of people. Too many that we should feel uncomfortable talking about this stuff. So why don’t we get chatting?

Time to Talk Day is a great chance to really explore mental health with the people around us – to ask questions, listen to people’s experiences, share yours, and to let people know they’re not on their own. The Time to Change website has some great tips for starting a conversation, and the Dorset Mind site is a good place to learn about the different services and help you can get here in Dorset.
