Sport in Mind are a charity that uses sport and physical activity to improve the lives of people with mental health needs. Their sessions take place every week, throughout the year and are fun, casual drop-in sessions. All equipment is provided and all abilities are very welcome! All you need to do is fill in a participant form the first time you join a session.

Upcoming sessions

  • Sport in Mind will be hosting a walk on Brownsea Island
  • When? Wednesday 13 May during Mental Health Awareness Week
  • The details: Meet David at Poole Quay orange kiosk opposite the Tesco Express, Poole Quay, Poole, Dorset BH15 1HJ. There you will catch the 12pm boat over to the island. The quay is a 15 minute walk from the main bus station. Once you have taken the boat over, you will go on a gentle walk, pop to the cafe for some refreshments and catch the 4pm ferry back, arriving back at the quay at 4:20pm. Please be aware that the ground may be uneven and slightly muddy, so would advise wearing comfortable, sturdy shoes. This is open to participants and partners are all welcome
