The NHS App

A simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services from your smartphone or tablet. Join the 400,000 people in Dorset already using the NHS App to manage their health the easy way. From viewing your GP health record, ordering repeat prescriptions, booking vaccination appointments, contacting your general practice surgery via the online consultation form, or NHS 111 online to get instant advice or medical help near you – the NHS App hosts a range of features.

Our Dorset Health App Library

Recommends apps that help with a wide range of health needs, from long term conditions such as high blood pressure, asthma and COPD, to managing joint and muscular problems, to how to improve mental wellbeing.

There are also highlighted apps to make them easier to find, including highest rated apps for cancer, young people’s mental health apps and recommended mental health apps.

Assistive technology at home

The Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Lounge in Dorchester, is a place where Dorset residents can try digital gadgets for free in a simulated domestic setting to find out what suits best and get help with installation. Falls monitor, medicine reminder, close curtains on voice command, drinking reminder, robot-pet.
