12 little things to stay well
This festive season, we are inviting everyone across Dorset to join us for our social media countdown “12 little things to stay well”, celebrating the small, meaningful acts that help people feel well, supported, and connected.
Starting this Sunday, 14th of December, each day, we will spotlight one “little thing” that is making a big difference in our communities, alongside the local people and organisations who make it happen.

At the heart of this campaign is a simple idea: wellbeing grows when we give a little. A little time. A little compassion. A little support. Across Dorset, individuals, volunteers, and community groups are quietly offering these gifts every day, and together they create an environment where everyone can belong.
This year, many Dorset organisations are taking part in the campaign by sharing practical examples of what people can give: care, kindness, hope, help, joy, calm, and more. These everyday gestures strengthen connections and ensure that everyone has opportunities to feel seen, valued, and supported during the winter months.
We encourage you to follow the countdown, share the posts, and take inspiration from the gestures you see. Whether it is offering company, checking in on someone nearby, sharing a skill, or simply showing kindness, small actions truly matter.

Together, let’s celebrate what it means to give a little, and help our communities feel connected this season.
