Spring COVID-19 vaccinations stop on 17 June 2025.

Hi, my name is Holly.

I am one of the nurses who give people vaccinations to help protect them from getting ill.

Watch this video of Holly giving people their vaccinations at their day centre in Parkstone, Poole.

About the COVID-19 vaccination

We want you to stay healthy.

Some people with a learning disability are more likely to be very ill if they get COVID-19.

The best way to avoid getting very poorly with COVID-19 is to have vaccinations.

These are injections and they are free.

Having your vaccinations might not stop you COVID-19 but you should feel less ill.

Where you can have your vaccination

Your doctors surgery will tell you where you can have your COVID-19 vaccinations.

You might be able to have your vaccination at your surgery.

You might be able to have your vaccinations at your local pharmacy.

You can also go to a walk-in clinic with no appointment to have your COVID-19 vaccination.

We will tell you where these are soon.

Sometimes you can have the vaccinations at your day centre – ask them about this.

How to book

You can find out how to book your vaccinations by speaking to your doctors surgery.

You can also book your COVID-19 vaccination by visiting the NHS booking website.

You can also book your COVID-19 vaccination by calling 119.

You do not need an appointment to go to a walk-in clinic.
