Dorset launches new lung health app for people living with asthma and COPD.

The MyLungHealth@Home app launches as a pilot this week at South Coast Medical Group, Bournemouth and aims to help people manage their asthma or COPD on the go and from home.

“Managing asthma or COPD can feel overwhelming, but tools like MyLungHealth@Home make it easier for patients to stay in control. The app provides practical advice, symptom tracking, and education all in one place, helping people make informed decisions about their health and know when to seek support. It’s a great step forward in empowering patients to manage their condition from home.”

Cheryl O’Sullivan, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, NHS Dorset

Patients simply download the app on their phone or tablet to track symptoms and peak flow, access education and advice, and find local support, such as services to help you stop smoking.

The MyLungHealth@Home app is easy to use and is being gradually rolled out across Dorset.

In the future, eligible patients will be able to self-register. They will receive a welcome email with a link to download the app for free.
